Hello, I'm Dr. Richard J. Stride, I hope you take the step toward health, wholeness and peace of mind.  I utilize psychoanalytic, dream analysis, personal insight, and humanistic therapeutic techniques.  I have found that these healing techniques help persons become whole and live better lives.  

I also do specialized forensic mental health work.  I have been conducting counseling & forensic mental health services since 1995.  I pride myself on providing individuals and families with excellent therapy services as well as attorneys, and courts, with quality forensic mental health evaluations. 

I received my Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree from Southern Nazarene University in Religion with a minor in Philosophy, my Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Psychology from California Coast University, and my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from California Southern University.  My practicum hours for my doctoral program and  licensure in Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor. was supervised by a licensed psychologist. I completed my post-doctoral internship for psychologist licensure in Colorado and California at Jefferson Center for Mental Health in Wheat Ridge, Colorado under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.  I have 20 years of training and experience working in both Colorado and Washington states.  I have trained and worked in psychiatric hospitals, residential settings, outpatient settings, and private practice.  


I have been in business since 1995, and I pride myself on providing my clients with the best-quality evaluations and personal service. I am state licensed in mental health both in Colorado and Washington states as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, respectively.  I am a certified NCP, (USA) and a Board Certified Clinical Psychotherapist (BCCP) (USA) by the Northamerican Association of Masters in Psychology (NAMP) Professional Psychologist Certification Board (PPCB), (board certification is not state licensed).  Mental Health Professionals desiring certification as an NCP or BCCP must have at the minimum 40 semester hours in an approved psychology program, two years post graduate experience in clinical, applied or academic setting, and a passing score of at least 70% on the Practitioners Exam of Psychological Knowledge (PEPK).  I now sit on the Professional Psychologist Certification Board for NAMP.
